The Armann Run Eimskip 2015 was held earlier this evening on a beautiful Icelandic summer night.
Participants were over 400 and running conditions were near perfect although there was a slight headwind for the first part of the race..
The Armann Run is a 10K road race on a flat and fast course and many runners have achieved their personal best (PB) in this race. The difference between the highest and lowest point is approx. 6.7 meters.
The race starts next to Eimskip Warehouse down by the harbour in Sundahofn. The course takes you along the coastline to the Harpa Concert Hall where you turn around and run the same way back. The winners in the men’s category was Arnar Petursson:in 32.21.
The winners in the women’s category was Andrea Kolbeinsdóttir:in 37.38.
